It is approx. 250 mtrs. above sea level. The living areas have been renovated with a careful eye for details - antique furniture, (some going back as far as the 16th Century.) antique ornaments,paintings, doors, prints and Persian carpets. On the other hand, the house has every possible modern comfort.

Villa Contri is an elegant 19th-century aristocratic villa set in the heart of a vast estate of terraced hills and olive groves. The villa has its own private chapel and ancient olive press, and boasts sweeping views across the estate and down the valley towards the medieval hilltop town of Lucca. Formal Italianate gardens lay to the front of the villa, and to the rear a pretty walled garden with manicured lawns provides a peaceful setting for the delightful swimming pool and sunlounge.
